I suppose I’m at an age now when I should know what I want to be when I grow up. I’m the kind of person who can’t do just one job. For example, I have about eh…16 projects on the go at the moment, and some people are telling me to focus, focus, focus on just one thing…you know, so I can figure out what to concentrate my energy on, so I can be good at that one thing, achieve in that one area. But, I don’t know, is the real answer. I don’t know what I want to be, I only know what I want to do tomorrow. I want it to be different to what I did today.
Maybe, one day, I’ll find something that I’ll want to do every single day, but how will I find it if I don’t try everything first? Maybe I’ll never be the best at anything, but I might be the best at saying yes to every new experience, and that’s good enough for me.

well, welcome our generation’s problem.
The right question is… Are you happy with what you are doing? and I know the answer may be tricky but if the answer is no or… well… so, so, then, then is time to try another thing till the day that answer is YES. So, you are doing the right thing, trying till you find what you like the most…

‘I might be the best at saying yes to every new experience, and that’s good enough for me. ‘ That’s a good thing to be the best at. (: Lovely pictures. x
that’s really inspiring blanaid i’m constantly stressed out by the fact that i dont have a clue what i want to do with my life so it’s comforting to know i’m not the only one. i like the idea of being open to new experiences i think i’m going to make it my mission in the new year!! i always look forward to fancy friday i particularly love the everything image and the bird on the arm one is really lovely aswell
Paul - I completely agree, I’ve lived most of my adult life asking myself that question, and always changing if the answer is no!
I agree Ciuin!
Thank you Emma! I hope so…
Ah great Vanessa, I think it is a comfort to know there are a few of us ‘grown ups’ that can’t commit to just one thing, who just want to try lots and lots of things!
Hey Blainaid,
maybe most creative people have problems focusing on one thing…I get bored with one project, I suppose I should try and rotate projects… At the moment I’m trying to get up enough energy to start dinner and then work on something…I’m working on a big refurbishment in a building in your home town, maybe you might be interested.
I think if you’re open to new things life is more interesting, everyone is different and if you’re happy that’s the main thing
Saludos chicos! soy fanatica de Dora, paso horas jugando juegos online aunque no hay muchos sitios con juegos exclusivos de Dora… y los que juego no estan muy bien. Alguien me aconseja alguna pagina de juegos de Dora?? Thanks!
