As you may or may not know, I’ve written a couple of interiors features for the Irish Independent (< click to read the first article)recently; where I take a property that’s for sale and give it a hypothetical makeover using products sourced from around Ireland and the internet.
Soooo…over the next few weeks, I’m going to post all of the products I’ve found on my trawls, in the hopes they may be of some use, even if it’s just to look at…!
I’ll also upload the PDF’s of the articles when I get an afternoon..

Sometimes I kind of lose my way when it comes to what I actually like wearing..then I look at photos such as these from Knightcat, and I think - yeah I’m a scruffy bird. I’ll go back to that look.
It’s a mini-drama.

An absolutely amazing post and interview with Melbourne street artist; Miso, over on The Design Files. I am so glad I stumbled upon this, as she is truly, truly talented and inspiring. She is also making me feel incredibly untalented through her being truly, truly talented and inspiring..! Her use of sketching and paper as a form of street art is just brilliant, as is her collaborations with other artists, and her positioning of her work on the street. Check out her website >here< after reading the full wonderful article on The Design Files.

Love this poster from the fantastic online store ‘Three Potato Four’. It’s just such a fantastic illustration, and would look great in either a child’s room or a modernist living room. Perfecto!
Buy it >here< for $48.00..

I had to repost these illustrations from the utterly fantastic fashion blog : Stylebubble. I would give my left arm or at the very least, a little finger, to be able to create fashion illustrations such as these ones from Danish Design School graduate Ann-Sofie Madsen. The images of her actual finished garments show how well she translated her pieces from the thoughts in her head, which I imagine is an incredibly difficult thing to do, unless you;re somewhat of a genius like Ann-Sofie. View the rest of the images oer on Stylebubble >>here<<.

Love this blog - My Daily Style with the stunning (grrr) Mireia in Barcelona. She moves effortlessly from floaty and natural to rock and back again. I once spent a very long time reading her blog from start to finish, and every now and again I like to have another little traipse through it… check it out >here<..

I found this epique blog, 4th and Bleeker, via another brilliant blog : Knightcat.
The images she takes for her own style are seriously hot. In fact I would go so far too say that she has the most sexual personal style blog out there, and I don’t even like the ladies in that way. Hmmmm, mehthinks it’s time to shake my images up a bit here on Blanaid.com…just have to get my camera sorted.

Such a lovely post on the excellent site; Remodelista. I was just talking to my mother about this the other day : I have a rental apartment with no distinguishablel features, save for some lovely big windows, and wanted to add something of interest quickly and cheaply. I was going to use the trunk of a silver birch, stripped of branches, wedged between floor and ceiling. Never did it though, and then I stumbled across this post, and now it’s reignited the fire of eh…wood..so to speak.
See more images over on Remodelista.

I was verrrrrry excited to be invited to the Irish Fashion Bloggers Brunch on Saturday in the Marks and Spencers restaurant, Grafton St. I missed the start as I was at a styling workshop (more on that later..), so arrived all a-late and a-fluster, but not to worry- they were SUCH a lovely bunch of bloggers! Annmarie O’Connor of IBlogFashion organises the monthly meet up, each time in a different venue, and she does quite the marvellous job. The table was an eclectic mix of people from fashion, shopping, culture and streetstyle blogs including among others : Bluebirds Are So Natural, Angela Scanlon, Beaut.ie, The Savvy Shopper, Perk Up Vintage Clothing and Dublin Streets.
The food was really incredibly good (*note to self, leave car at home to partake in the Cava*) - particularly the Eton mess dessert. Next time you’re on Grafton Street, call up for this light, sweet simple tumble of strawberries, cream and meringue. Actually…eh..I think I need to go to Grafton St. today for emmm…something!
Such a lovely day out, check out the Irish bloggers, there are some fantastic writers and archivists out there on our little green island…

First up we have my new lovely love - stitsh - a streetsyle blog with a difference. These genii tell you where you can buy stuff similar to what the streetstyl-er is wearing, and this pleases me. It’s great to use Street Style images as inspiration when going shopping and all that jazz, but so much better to just click and shop. *sigh*
Part two is ffffound - which is exactly that, a collection of images fond all over the interweb. Some are just beautiful or interesting photos, others are interiors, product design, gig posters…basically things that would be of interest to anyone interested in anything aesthetic. You’ll love it.
Click below to see my current list of links… feel free to send me some sites to check out!
